This site preserves the remnants of monks’ cellars, dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries—a time when Georgia‘s valleys were under siege and the mountains became sanctuaries, safeguarding works of art and the most treasured culture of Georgian people: their vines. It’s as if our ancestors foresaw that wine would one day be the signature mark through which Georgia would introduce itself to the world. In honor of this history, our labels and name reflect the rich traditions unique to this region.
