Uniting Through Wine
Our Story
Founded
2013
Jobava Winery was founded in 2013 by a family who had relocated from Abkhazia in the aftermath of the 1990s conflict. They brought with them a deep connection to Georgian winemaking tradition - and a determination to plant it in new soil.
A decade of viticulture followed - cultivating Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, Kisi, and Kakhuri Mtsvane. In 2022, the winery transformed: a modern facility opened, blending Italian machinery and French oak with 55,000 liters of traditional Georgian Qvevri.
Nestled in the heart of Kakheti’s Kindzmarauli microzone, Jobava Winery carries the spirit of Georgia’s 8,000-year winemaking heritage. Founded in 2013 by a family displaced from Abkhazia, our winery was built on resilience, passion, and respect for tradition. What began with cultivating vines has grown into a modern winery producing premium wines, authentic Chacha, and now Brandy. Every bottle reflects our belief: wine is more than a drink, it is history, culture, and connection. Jobava Winery presents an esteemed selection of premium wines and spirits. Each creation is meticulously crafted using a combination of traditional Georgian methods such as Qvevri, refined European techniques, and the art of barrel aging. In homage to our rich heritage, we also employ ancient Kakhetian winemaking traditions, ensuring every sip reflects both history and innovation.
“The fusion of tradition, innovation, and passion - encapsulated in every bottle.”

Four Ways of Making Wine
Ancient Qvevri
Whole grapes ferment naturally in clay vessels buried underground - producing complex amber wines with earthy, tannic depth.
European Classic
Hand-harvested grapes fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel or concrete tanks - preserving fresh fruit and terroir character.
French Oak Barrel
Aging in French oak adds vanilla, spice, and toasted complexity - while micro-oxygenation gradually softens the tannin structure.
Kakhetian Blend
Wine blended with chacha in traditional Kakhetian proportions - creating robust, full-bodied wines of intense fruit character.

Shilda Village, Kakheti
Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Eastern Georgia, specifically in the picturesque valley of Shilda within the Kvareli Municipality of the Kakheti Region, Jobava Winery vineyards thrive in the unique Kindzmarauli microzone. This distinctive microclimate and terroir impart a character to our wines that reflects the essence of our surroundings and the meticulous care devoted to each vine. From 2013 to 2022, our focus primarily centered on viticulture, where we meticulously cultivated and safeguarded endemic Georgian grape varieties such as Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, Kisi, and Kakhuri Mtsvane. These formative years laid the foundation for our future endeavors. Since 2022, Jobava Winery has expanded its scope to encompass both viticulture and winemaking. We took a significant leap forward by inaugurating a cutting-edge wine facility equipped with state-of-the-art European technologies, alongside the indispensable Georgian Qvevris.
