Bakurveli

Natural winemaking from our own ecofriendly vineyards, established in 2002 on unique, rocky terroir. BAKURVELI – Not Just Land, But A Heritage For Future Generations!

Bakurtsikhe, Kakheti

"Bakurveli" is a Georgian company working in viticulture, winemaking, and wine tourism in the village of Bakurtsikhe, Kakheti. Sustainable development and environmental responsibility are at the heart of Bakurveli's values: - We care for our vineyards using eco- friendly and safe methods, thereby preserving the natural ecosystem; - We grow natural, healthy grapes; - We produce five different premium quality natural wines, as well as traditional, distinctive 60° Georgian Chacha (Vodka). We believe that responsible viticulture and environmental care are the foundation of the future of Georgian wine. Bakurveli is developing a hub of 69 small wineries, where interested buyers have the opportunity to purchase a vineyard plot planted in 2002 on a unique, rocky terroir and create and manage their own winery entirely remotely, simply by making key decisions, while Bakurveli handles the entire process through its services. Bakurveli provides vineyard owners with a full range of services — professional vineyard care using eco-friendly methods, grape processing and wine production, bottling and branding, as well as full support in selling the finished products to the local HoReCa sector and export markets. At the same time, the project is developing resort infrastructure that will bring together winemaking, gastronomy, recreation, and different tourism experiences. Thanks to their location and the tourism concept of the project, the vineyard plots also offer the opportunity to build cottages and develop independent tourism businesses. This allows each owner to combine their own vineyard and wine production with a private cottage and create their own unique wine tourism destination directly on their own vineyard property. The goal of the project is to bring together vineyard ownership, winemaking, traditional Georgian gastronomy, recreation, and wine tourism in one place, creating a modern ecosystem of small wineries and tourism businesses while promoting Georgian wine culture in both local and international markets.
